ThirdFall

Biography: (source: Thirdfall website)
On the east cost of Canada, is a small town by the name of St-Jean. Very close to Montreal, it has all the qualities and the criminality of a big city, minus the tall buildings and the heavy pollution. Nobody really knows why, but the town is house to one of the most prolific musical scenes in Québec. It saw, and is still seeing the births and deaths of many great bands.

It was in 1993 that the band we now know as ThirdFall first formed. Mart and Frank have always played together, before 1993 they were part of one of the two bands that could be seen as the founders of the underground music scene of St-Jean. Those bands were respectively named Troubled Youth and Mad Roach. Former member John was part of another group called Warthog, in wich Mart also played. Unfortunately, Troubled Youth and Warthog were pretty much going nowhere, and both called it quits. Mart and John then decided to put forward a side project wich was called Flatspot, and regrouped old members of both Troubled Youth and Warthog.

After alot of members changes, Flatspot finally became a team with Mart, Frank, John, and Rick as it's members. It was 1995, and the time for a first release. Just then, the band members learned that another band was going by the name of Flatspot in the U.S, and decided to change. They then became Wishit for a couple of weeks, and finally went with a third name, ThirdFall. They found a (really) cheap studio, and went on to record Make My Day. Some powerful pop punk with catchy vocals, but still needing a little work. It was the beginning of the tidalwave.

Right after their first release, the guys started to work on what would be the first album, Live Evil. With more money and more time, they produced what was going to be the first marketed cd to come out of St-Jean. The same year, wich was 1996, ThirdFall teamed up with Subb to release the successful Two Ban'an'a Split cd. At that point, their career was improving day by day, but little did they know. First, Rick left the band and Nick from Subb joined in to replace him. After that, John and Nick left also. So at that point, Mart's co-writer/guitarist/singer was gone and the band had no drummer. Then Mart and Frank met this amazing guitarist by the name of Jul, and gave Rick a call. ThirdFall was reborn, and the band started working on some new stuff wich is now on Pure Evil. The machine is in full effect, and wrecking every obstacles in it's path.
